Kaye Brownstone

About Kaye
Kaye Brownstone is a Central Kentucky-based author who shares her home with a mischievous little black demon dog called Finn. With a wide-ranging background that includes stints as a summer camp counselor, bank teller, homeschool teacher, school secretary, transcriptionist, appraiser, ASL interpreter, and over 20 years working with youth and college students at her church, Kaye brings a wealth of life experience to her writing. Her devotional writings have appeared in Daily Devotions for the Deaf and various homeschooling publications.
When she’s not writing, you may find Kaye binge-watching British crime shows, reading, watercolor painting, or spending time with her family and juggling the joyful chaos of grandkids. And if she ever vanishes, look for her in the Shire, perfectly content as a hermit in a peaceful, well-lit hobbit hole surrounded by her books and half-filled notebooks…though Finn will be busy marking every corner of his new kingdom, so peace—along with furniture, rugs, and slippers—may be in serious jeopardy.
Her family says Kaye loves like none other and is fiercely loyal, forgiving, and caring—though they also caution that she can wield a hairbrush with surprising skill if provoked (word of advice: do not interrupt her while she’s reading… although she’s positive her brother wasn’t as maimed as he claimed to be).
If you were to ask Kaye what she considers the most important thing about herself, she would say that, though her feet are firmly planted in Kentucky soil for now, this world is not her home. She is a beloved child of God living in hope and confidence that one day she’ll be called home—her true home—the place her heart has always been homesick for.
Finn - Assistant to the Author (AKA Chief Judgy Face—Or Upper Management—depending on who you ask.)
