The snow and ice are finally beginning to melt outside my window. The thaw is a welcome sign that the world is slowly returning to life after the icy chaos of the past couple weeks. Though winter is far from over, and the chill still lingers, I know that change is coming. The promise of spring whispers beneath the melting snow, reminding me that even the harshest seasons give way to renewal and growth. It’s comforting to know that, just as we trust in the cycle of seasons, we can trust in God’s faithfulness to bring us through all seasons, even the cold and challenging ones.

Snow thaw on windowsill—season of growth update

I’ve taken some time off from Whispers of Kith and Kin, and while the break was a welcome pause, I’m now feeling restless over the momentum that I’ve lost. Yet, even though I may feel the weight of days passed, the assurance of God’s faithfulness through each season reminds me that everything—including Whispers of Kith and Kin—is unfolding just as it should.

And now, like the changing seasons, Whispers of Kith and Kin is entering an exciting new stage, full of promise and possibility, and I’m eager to share the latest with you! The manuscript has moved from my amazing beta readers (You guys!), into the hands of a trusted editor. I’m excited to see the story further polished and refined. With the September 2025 release date set, there’s still plenty to do!

One particularly thrilling step is collaborating with a graphic designer on the book cover. The process kicks off next week, and I can’t wait to watch it come together—selecting the perfect colors, choosing imagery that captures the heart of the story, and creating a design that truly reflects the essence of the book.

As we dive into this stage, I’d love to know—what comes to mind when you think of Whispers of Kith and Kin? While I’m working closely with the designer, hearing your thoughts would be a fun way to spark inspiration as we move forward!

I can’t wait to see how the final design mirrors the layers of mystery and faith within Whispers of Kith and Kin and hope to share it with you soon. I’m grateful for your presence in this adventure. As always, thank you for being a part of the Whispers of Kith and Kin journey. I look forward to sharing more as the story progresses!
